The **Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Card** is Wells Fargo’s mid-tier travel card for travelers who want transferable points without paying a premium-card annual fee. Its strengths are unusually good earnings on hotels and airfare, a useful airline credit and access to Wells Fargo’s growing list of airline and hotel transfer partners.

The card becomes particularly interesting for hotel redemptions because Wells Fargo points currently transfer to both **Wyndham Rewards and Choice Privileges at a 1:2 ratio**.

## Current Offer

**Welcome Bonus:** 60,000 Wells Fargo Rewards points
**Minimum Spend:** $4,000
**Spend Period:** 3 months
**Annual Fee:** $95

One important eligibility restriction: Wells Fargo says you may not be eligible for the introductory rewards bonus if you currently have this card or opened it within the previous **48 months**. Wells Fargo confirms the earning rates, $50 annual airline statement credit and lack of foreign transaction fees.

## Key Benefits

### Excellent Hotel and Airline Earning

The card earns **5X at hotels** and **4X with airlines**, making it particularly attractive for travelers who book directly with multiple hotel or airline brands rather than concentrating spending with one loyalty program.

Restaurants and other qualifying travel earn 3X.

### Wyndham and Choice Transfers at 1:2

This remains one of the card’s most interesting features.

**1 Wells Fargo Rewards point = 2 Wyndham Rewards points**

The same 1:2 ratio applies to Choice Privileges. Wells Fargo added Wyndham as a transfer partner in April 2026, and the unusually favorable ratio remains available.

That can make Wyndham particularly useful for vacation-club and other high-value redemptions. Rather than earning Wyndham points directly through everyday spending, you can keep Wells Fargo points flexible until you find an award worth booking.

Wells Fargo also has airline partners including Flying Blue, Avianca LifeMiles, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Iberia and Virgin programs. Most airline transfers are currently 1:1.

### $50 Annual Airline Credit

Use the card for an airline purchase of at least $50 and Wells Fargo provides a **$50 statement credit once each annual credit period**.

That effectively offsets more than half of the $95 annual fee for someone who can use the credit naturally.

### Useful Travel Protections

The card includes trip cancellation/interruption protection, lost baggage reimbursement, secondary rental-car collision coverage, travel accident insurance and several Visa Signature benefits. It also includes cell-phone protection when the qualifying wireless bill is paid with the card.

## Who This Card Makes Sense For

The Autograph Journey makes the most sense for travelers who spend heavily on hotels and airfare but don't want a $500–$700 premium-card annual fee.

It is particularly compelling if you can use **Wyndham or Choice**, since the 1:2 hotel transfer ratios distinguish Wells Fargo from most competing transferable-points programs.

The main limitation is that Wells Fargo still has fewer transfer partners than programs such as Chase, Amex or Capital One. Travelers who rarely use its existing partners may prefer a broader transferable currency.

## Trash Panda Take

The Autograph Journey has quietly become a much more interesting travel card than when it originally launched.

The 5X hotel and 4X airline earning rates are already competitive for a $95 card, while the $50 airline credit makes the effective annual cost fairly modest for anyone who can use it.

But the real standout is the ability to transfer Wells Fargo points **1:2 to Wyndham Rewards and Choice Privileges**. For the right hotel redemption, that can dramatically change the math.

The current offer is solid and publicly available, although Wells Fargo does not list an expiration date. The strongest reason to keep this card long term is not the welcome bonus—it is the combination of strong travel earning, flexible points and those unusually favorable hotel transfer ratios.
