What Changed

Wyndham Rewards has officially restructured its award chart. The old system had three tiers. The new one has four. Here's the breakdown:

### OLD STRUCTURE

7,500 pts/night

15,000 pts/night

30,000 pts/night

### NEW STRUCTURE

5,000 pts/night

15,000 pts/night

30,000 pts/night

45,000 pts/night

3 tiers in, 4 tiers out. Simple math, complicated feelings.

## Winners and Losers

The new 5,000-point floor is genuinely exciting — it's lower than anything in the old system. But Wyndham hasn't announced which properties will land in which tier. Most likely, the changes will primarily affect the current 7,500-point properties and a select few of the 30,000-point properties.

But here's the catch.

The new 45,000-point ceiling is 50% higher than the old 30,000-point cap. That's a significant jump — but it likely only applies to a handful of premium properties currently at 30,000\. The vast majority of the portfolio should stay put or move down.

Most 15,000 and 30,000-point redemptions are expected to remain static. The real question is which 7,500-point hotels drop to 5,000 and which get bumped to 15,000\. Until Wyndham publishes the full list, we're watching and waiting.

## What You Should Do Now

1\. Check your saved hotels

Log into Wyndham Rewards and check where your go-to properties land once the new chart is published. Some may drop to 5,000, others could jump to 15,000.

2\. Book aspirational stays now

If you've been eyeing a Wyndham Grand or Registry Collection property, keep a close watch. These are prime candidates for the new 45,000-point tier. If you can book at 30,000 before changes hit, do it.

3\. Stockpile for budget trips

The 5,000-point tier makes road trips absurdly cheap. A week of hotels for 35,000 points? That's less than a single night at some Hiltons.

4\. Don't panic

Wyndham is still one of the best value programs in the game. Four tiers with a 5K floor is better than most competitors offer.

## The Bottom Line

Wyndham didn't gut their program — they stretched it.

Budget travelers win. Luxury seekers pay more.

The middle stays the same. Classic hotel loyalty math.

Happy booking, Trash Panda. ✨
