Existing Venture X Business cardholders can earn a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit and access valuable premium travel benefits.

Capital One is celebrating the third anniversary of the Venture X Business Card with a pretty valuable offer for existing cardholders.

Eligible Venture X Business cardholders can earn a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit after making $3,000 in qualifying travel bookings by December 15, 2026. Capital One is also promoting a fourth-night-free hotel benefit at select properties in its Premier and Lifestyle Collections.

The $500 Venture X Business Travel Credit

The limited-time offer is straightforward:

  • Spend $3,000 on bookings through Capital One Business Travel.
  • Complete the qualifying bookings by December 15, 2026.
  • Receive a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit.
  • Available only to eligible existing Venture X Business cardholders.
  • Promotion began September 30, 2026.

That effectively represents a 16.7% rebate on the required $3,000 of portal spending before considering the miles earned from the bookings.

Capital One specifically uses the word eligible, so I would check your Venture X Business account before shifting $3,000 of travel into the portal solely for this promotion. The announcement does not say that every existing account automatically qualifies.

Fourth Night Free at Select Hotels

Capital One is also giving Venture X Business cardholders a fourth night free when booking eligible stays of at least four nights at select hotels in the Premier Collection and Lifestyle Collection through Capital One Business Travel.

This can potentially be stacked with the normal benefits available when booking participating Collection properties.

Premier Collection hotel stays can include:

  • Up to a $100 experience credit.
  • Daily breakfast for two.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi.
  • Room upgrades when available.
  • Early check-in and late checkout when available.

Lifestyle Collection hotels generally include up to a $50 experience credit, complimentary Wi-Fi and space-available room upgrades, early check-in and late checkout.

There is an interesting distinction here: Capital One puts a December 15 deadline on the $500 anniversary travel-credit offer, but its September 30 announcement also lists fourth-night-free as one of the Venture X Business card's features without specifying an expiration date.

That makes the fourth-night-free benefit potentially more important over the long term than the temporary $500 promotion.

Don't Forget the Existing $300 Annual Credit

Venture X Business already provides primary cardholders with a separate $300 annual Capital One Business Travel credit.

That credit is available through Capital One Business Travel and expires on the cardholder's next account anniversary if unused.

For an eligible cardholder who has not yet used the normal annual credit, there could therefore be quite a bit of Capital One-funded travel in play between the existing $300 benefit and this new $500 promotion.

Just remember that these are separate benefits with separate rules.

Venture X Business Benefits

The Venture X Business remains one of Capital One's premium business travel cards, with a $395 annual fee.

Core benefits include:

  • Unlimited 2X Capital One miles on everyday purchases.
  • 10X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel.
  • 5X miles on flights and vacation rentals through Capital One Business Travel.
  • $300 annual Capital One Business Travel credit.
  • 10,000 anniversary miles each year starting with the first anniversary.
  • Fourth night free at select Premier and Lifestyle Collection hotels.
  • Capital One Lounge and participating partner-lounge access.
  • Up to $120 toward Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
  • Hertz President's Circle status.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • No preset spending limit.

The $500 anniversary promotion discussed here is specifically for eligible existing cardholders, so applying today does not make you eligible for this particular offer.

This is a legitimately useful promotion for existing Venture X Business cardholders who already have substantial travel to book.

Spending $3,000 through Capital One Business Travel to receive $500 back in travel credit is a strong return if those are bookings you would have made anyway.

The qualification about eligible existing cardholders is important, however. I wouldn't move $3,000 of hotel or airfare bookings away from a preferred direct-booking strategy until confirming the promotion is available on your account.

The fourth-night-free benefit may be even more interesting. A four-night stay at an expensive Premier Collection resort could produce substantial savings, while still providing Collection benefits such as an experience credit, breakfast at Premier Collection hotels and potential room upgrades.

There is a tradeoff with hotel portal bookings: travelers with hotel elite status should compare the Capital One price and benefits against booking directly, particularly when direct bookings would otherwise earn hotel points, elite-night credits or status benefits.

For existing Venture X Business cardholders with travel already planned, though, the combination of a $500 promotional credit, the normal $300 annual travel credit and a potential fourth night free deserves a close look.
