IHG Credit Cards Get Major 2026 Refresh: Up to 190K Points, Higher Fees and New Benefits
Chase has overhauled its IHG credit cards with bonuses up to 190,000 points, bigger anniversary Free Nights, new credits and higher annual fees.
Chase and IHG have overhauled their existing IHG One Rewards credit card lineup with larger signup bonuses, new statement credits, higher-value anniversary nights and automatic Elite Night Credits.
Unfortunately, the refresh also brings higher annual fees to the IHG Premier and Business cards, while the no-annual-fee card will make its valuable fourth-night-free benefit harder to earn beginning in 2027.
The changes were announced October 1 alongside the launch of the new $350-a-year IHG One Rewards Premier Select Card. Existing cardholders will receive details from Chase during October, with annual-fee adjustments taking effect in 2027.
Current IHG Credit Card Offers
All three refreshed cards have limited-time launch offers available through November 18, 2026.
IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card — 180,000 Points
New cardholders can earn:
- 180,000 IHG points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months.
- 10,000 additional points for adding an authorized user within the first 3 months.
- $150 annual fee.
That means a new cardholder can potentially collect 190,000 total points between the signup bonus and authorized-user bonus.

IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card — 190,000 Points
The former IHG One Rewards Premier Business Card has been renamed the IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card.
New cardholders can earn:
- 190,000 points after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months.
- 10,000 additional points after adding an employee card within the first 3 months.
- $200 annual fee.
That creates a potential 200,000-point haul if you also qualify for the employee-card bonus.

IHG One Rewards Credit Card — 125,000 Points
The no-annual-fee Traveler Card has been renamed simply the IHG One Rewards Credit Card.
The launch offer includes:
- 125,000 points after spending $2,000 in the first 3 months.
- 10,000 additional points for adding an authorized user within the first 3 months.
- $0 annual fee.
That works out to as many as 135,000 points without paying an annual fee.

IHG Premier Card Changes
The Premier Card's annual fee increases from $99 to $150, but Chase is adding several benefits.
The anniversary Free Night increases from a 40,000-point cap to 50,000 points, and you can still add points from your account to book a more expensive hotel.
Cardholders also receive:
- Up to $100 in IHG Food & Beverage Rewards, issued as $25 quarterly vouchers.
- $100 airline statement credit after spending at least $250 directly with airlines each calendar year through December 31, 2027.
- Up to $50 United TravelBank Cash each year.
- 15 Elite Night Credits annually.
- 2 additional Elite Night Credits for every $5,000 spent.
- Fourth Reward Night Free on qualifying four-night award stays.
- Up to $120 toward Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS.
- 5X points on directly booked flights, car rentals, dining, grocery stores and gas.
- 3X on other purchases.
There is one significant downgrade: automatic status falls from Platinum Elite to Gold Elite. Platinum can now be earned after spending $15,000 in a calendar year.
IHG Business Card Changes
The Business Card gets an even larger annual-fee increase, moving from $99 to $200.
In return, its anniversary certificate also increases to 50,000 points, with the ability to add points for more expensive stays.
Other benefits include:
- Up to $100 annually in IHG Food & Beverage Rewards.
- $100 airline statement credit after $250 in qualifying airline purchases through December 31, 2027.
- Up to $100 in annual Expensify credits.
- Automatic Platinum Elite status.
- 15 annual Elite Night Credits.
- 2 additional Elite Night Credits per $5,000 spent.
- Fourth Reward Night Free.
- Additional 50,000-point Free Night after $60,000 annual spending.
- 20,000 bonus points after $25,000 annual spending.
- Up to $120 Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS credit.
Interestingly, Chase's updated Business Card benefits do not list the existing United TravelBank benefit, while the Premier Card continues to advertise it. Chase has not explicitly stated that TravelBank is being eliminated from the Business Card, so I would wait for the official cardmember notices before calling that benefit dead.
The No-Fee Card Takes a Hit
The renamed IHG One Rewards Credit Card remains a surprisingly capable $0 annual-fee hotel card.
It now earns:
- 5 Elite Night Credits each year.
- Automatic Silver Elite status.
- 3X on dining, groceries and gas.
- 2X on other purchases.
- 30% off IHG point purchases.
- No foreign transaction fees.
But there is a major change coming in 2027.
The Fourth Reward Night Free benefit will no longer be automatic. You will need to spend $5,000 on the card during a calendar year to unlock it.
Once earned, the benefit remains available for the rest of that year and the following calendar year.
For people who kept the old Traveler Card primarily for fourth-night-free award stays, that is a substantial downgrade.
Trash Panda Summation
This refresh is a mixed bag.
The 50,000-point anniversary certificates on the Premier and Business cards are meaningful upgrades, and the new Food & Beverage Rewards and airline credits can potentially offset much of the higher annual fees if you actually use them.
The Premier Card's jump from $99 to $150 is easier to swallow because its certificate alone can potentially cover the annual fee at the right hotel. However, losing automatic Platinum status definitely reduces the value for people who relied on the card for IHG status.
The Business Card's increase to $200 is more aggressive, although the additional credits and continued Platinum status soften the blow.
The biggest loser may actually be the no-fee card. It still costs nothing to keep, but requiring $5,000 of annual spending to unlock Fourth Reward Night Free beginning in 2027 removes one of the easiest no-annual-fee hotel-card benefits in the market.
For new applicants, the launch bonuses are another story. 180,000 points on the Premier and 190,000 points on the Business Card are substantial offers, and they are scheduled to disappear after November 18, 2026.
