Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card Offering Four 50K Free Night Certificates
Chase has launched a new welcome offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, giving new cardholders the opportunity to earn four Free Night Awards worth up to 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points apiece.
That gives the welcome offer a maximum redemption value of 200,000 Marriott Bonvoy points across four separate hotel nights. The spending requirement is also relatively manageable compared with many premium travel-card bonuses.
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Welcome Offer
New Marriott Bonvoy Boundless cardholders can currently earn:
- Four Free Night Awards after spending $3,000 on eligible purchases within the first three months of opening the account
- Each Free Night Award can be used for one night costing up to 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
- Up to $100 in statement credits for eligible purchases made directly with airlines
- $95 annual fee
Chase says the four awards may take up to eight weeks to appear in the cardholder’s Marriott Bonvoy account after completing the spending requirement. Each certificate expires 12 months after it is issued.
This is a limited-time offer and can change or end at any time.
How the $100 Airline Credit Works
The airline credit is divided into two separate $50 statement credits rather than being available all at once.
New cardholders can receive:
- A $50 statement credit after spending at least $250 directly with airlines between June 4 and December 31, 2026
- Another $50 statement credit after spending at least $250 directly with airlines between January 1 and June 30, 2027
This means you must make at least $500 in qualifying airline purchases across the two promotional periods to receive the full $100.
The offer applies to purchases made directly with airlines. Travelers should not assume that purchases made through online travel agencies or third-party booking services will qualify. Chase also warns that purchases must post within the applicable promotional period.
The Certificates Can Be Boosted to 75,000 Points
A 50,000-point Free Night Award can be combined with as many as 25,000 additional Marriott Bonvoy points.
That means each certificate can potentially be used for a hotel costing up to 75,000 points for one night.
For example, if a hotel costs 62,000 points, you could use one 50,000-point certificate and add 12,000 Marriott points. This greatly expands the number of hotels available, particularly when Marriott’s dynamic pricing pushes a property slightly above the certificate’s original limit.
You can add up to 25,000 points to each certificate, so all four awards could theoretically be used at properties costing as much as 75,000 points per night.
Four 50K Certificates Are Not the Same as 200,000 Points
Although Chase describes the four certificates as having a total value of up to 200,000 points, certificates are considerably less flexible than regular Marriott points.
Each award can only be applied to one night. If you use a 50,000-point certificate for a room costing 32,000 points, the remaining 18,000 points are forfeited.
You cannot:
- Split one certificate across multiple inexpensive nights
- Convert unused certificate value into Marriott points
- Exchange a certificate for points
- Transfer the certificate to another Marriott member
- Extend it beyond its expiration date
- Use the certificates with Marriott’s Stay for 5, Pay for 4 benefit
The best strategy is generally to use each certificate for a hotel costing as close to 50,000 points as possible—or somewhat more than 50,000 points when adding a reasonable number of points produces a good redemption.
How Valuable Is This Offer?
The real value will depend heavily on where and when the certificates are used.
A traveler who redeems all four certificates for hotels that would otherwise cost $250 per night could receive approximately $1,000 in hotel value before accounting for the card’s $95 annual fee. Someone using them at expensive resorts, major-city hotels or properties during peak travel dates could potentially receive considerably more.
However, certificates should not automatically be valued at the full cash price of the hotel. A $400 hotel night is not necessarily worth $400 if you would have otherwise booked a nearby property for $200.
There are also practical considerations:
- Award availability must exist for a standard room.
- Some hotels charge mandatory resort or destination fees on award stays.
- The certificates expire 12 months after being deposited.
- All four certificates may have similar expiration dates.
- Marriott’s dynamic award pricing may push desirable properties above 50,000 points.
- You may need additional Marriott points to use the certificates at more expensive hotels.
For travelers who already have Marriott stays planned, this could still be an extremely valuable welcome offer.
Is This the Best-Ever Boundless Offer?
This is a strong offer, but it is not the best offer we have seen on the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card.
Chase previously offered five 50,000-point Free Night Awards after the same $3,000 spending requirement. That offer expired in March 2026.
The new four-night offer is therefore one certificate below the previous high. However, it remains significantly more attractive than many standard Boundless offers, particularly for someone who has an immediate use for four Marriott certificates and does not want to wait for another five-night offer that may or may not return.
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card Benefits
Beyond the welcome offer, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card includes several ongoing benefits.
Annual 35K Free Night Award
Cardholders receive a Free Night Award after each account anniversary that can be used at a property costing up to 35,000 points.
Like the welcome-offer certificates, the anniversary award can be combined with up to 25,000 additional Marriott points. This makes it usable for a hotel costing as much as 60,000 points.
For many Marriott travelers, the annual certificate can justify the card’s $95 annual fee by itself.
15 Elite Night Credits
Cardholders receive 15 Marriott Bonvoy Elite Night Credits each calendar year.
These credits are enough to qualify for Marriott Silver Elite status and leave a cardholder only 10 additional nights away from Gold Elite status. Consumer-card elite-night credits generally do not stack with credits from another Marriott consumer card, but they can stack with the elite-night credits from an eligible Marriott business card.
Automatic Silver Elite Status
The card includes automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status.
Silver status includes a 10% points bonus on eligible Marriott stays and priority late checkout when available. The more meaningful benefit for many cardholders, however, will be the 15 elite-night credits and the head start they provide toward higher Marriott status levels.
Additional Elite Night Credits From Spending
Cardholders earn one additional Elite Night Credit for every $5,000 spent on the card, with no published limit.
The card also offers Marriott Gold Elite status after spending $35,000 during a calendar year. However, putting $35,000 on the Boundless Card solely to earn Gold status will rarely be the best use of that spending.
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Earning Rates
The card earns:
- 6 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy
- 3 points per dollar on the first $6,000 in combined annual spending at grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants
- 2 points per dollar on other eligible purchases
The 2X base earning rate is better than the 1X rate found on many hotel credit cards, although Marriott points are generally worth less than transferable currencies such as Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
The card also has no foreign transaction fees.
Check Marriott Card Eligibility Before Applying
Marriott credit-card eligibility rules are unusually complicated because Marriott cards are issued by both Chase and American Express.
The Boundless Card is not available if you currently have certain older Chase Marriott cards or the Marriott Bonvoy Bold or Boundless Card. You may also be ineligible if you received a new-cardmember bonus on one of those cards within the previous 24 months.
Additional restrictions apply to people who currently have—or recently held, opened or earned a bonus on—certain American Express Marriott cards.
For example, the Boundless welcome bonus may not be available if you:
- Currently have or had the legacy Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card within the last 30 days
- Were approved for certain Marriott Bonvoy American Express cards within the last 90 days
- Received a welcome or upgrade bonus on certain Marriott Bonvoy American Express cards within the last 24 months
Read the eligibility language on the application page carefully before submitting an application. Chase may still perform a credit inquiry even if Marriott’s cross-issuer rules make you ineligible for the welcome offer.
The card is also generally believed to be subject to Chase’s 5/24 application policy. Applicants who have opened five or more personal credit cards during the previous 24 months may have difficulty being approved.
Bottom Line
The four-certificate Marriott Bonvoy Boundless welcome offer is a valuable opportunity for travelers who can use the awards before they expire.
Four nights worth up to 50,000 points apiece can produce substantial value, especially when redeemed at properties where cash rates are high. The ability to add up to 25,000 Marriott points to each certificate makes the awards much easier to use than they once were.
The offer is not as good as the previous five-certificate bonus, and Free Night Awards are not as flexible as receiving 200,000 regular Marriott points. Nevertheless, four potentially valuable hotel nights after only $3,000 in spending is a strong return for a card with a $95 annual fee.
The ongoing 35,000-point anniversary certificate also makes the Boundless Card a reasonable long-term keeper for Marriott travelers who can consistently redeem that certificate for more than the annual fee.
