Capital One is offering a 30% transfer bonus to Virgin Red, giving travelers an opportunity to stretch their Capital One miles further.
Even better, Virgin Points can be redeemed on several partner airlines, sometimes with very low taxes and fees for flights from the United States to Europe.

The Offer
Normally, Capital One miles transfer at a 1:1 ratio. During this promotion, you'll receive 30% more Virgin Points.

Low-Fee Partner Awards to Europe
One of the more interesting uses of Virgin Points is booking flights on partner airlines rather than Virgin Atlantic itself.
Delta Air Lines
Virgin Atlantic's published partner chart lists nonstop Delta economy awards from the U.S. to Europe (excluding the UK) at 30,000 Virgin Points plus just $5.60 one-way.
With the 30% bonus, transferring 24,000 Capital One miles would provide 31,200 Virgin Points — enough for that award when available.
Air France and KLM
There's another interesting opportunity worth investigating.
PointsYeah recently reported unusually low-fee economy awards departing Minneapolis:

Important: These low fees aren't universal. Most Air France/KLM departures can carry substantially higher surcharges, and Virgin's published Delta One award fees to Europe can exceed $1,000. Flights returning from Europe also generally carry higher taxes and fees.
Always compare the total points and cash required before booking.

But there's a catch: Partner award availability can be limited, and low mileage prices don't always mean low cash costs.
Find the flight first, verify the total points and fees, and only then transfer your Capital One miles. Transfers generally cannot be reversed.
