Wells Fargo Choice Privileges 60,000-Point Offer Is Back — With No Annual Fee

The Choice Privileges® Mastercard® from Wells Fargo is back with an elevated 60,000-point welcome offer, and this is one of the more interesting no-annual-fee hotel card bonuses currently available.

New cardholders can earn:

60,000 Choice Privileges points after spending just $1,000 in purchases during the first three months.

Even better, the card has a $0 annual fee.

The 60,000-point offer previously disappeared after its announced September 8 expiration, but it has returned. Choice's current terms once again confirm the 60,000-point bonus with the $1,000 spending requirement.

The card also provides 10 Elite Qualifying Nights each year, giving cardholders automatic Choice Privileges Gold status.

What Are 60,000 Choice Points Worth?

This is where Choice Privileges gets interesting.

Choice says reward nights can start as low as 6,000 points at some properties, although most start at 8,000 points or more. Redemption rates vary by hotel and date.

Choice advertises the 60,000-point bonus as enough for up to seven reward nights at select properties.

I wouldn't value the bonus based on that maximum, however. The better strategy is finding properties where Choice points replace an expensive cash rate.

Choice's portfolio isn't limited to Comfort Inn and Quality Inn. It also includes Cambria, Ascend Hotel Collection and the Radisson brands in the Americas, plus access to selected Preferred Hotels & Resorts properties.

That can create some surprisingly valuable redemption opportunities.

Choice Points Are Also a Wells Fargo Transfer Sweet Spot

There's another reason Choice Privileges deserves attention if you collect Wells Fargo Rewards.

Wells Fargo currently transfers points to Choice at:

1 Wells Fargo Rewards point = 2 Choice Privileges points

That's unusually good compared with several other transferable currencies.

For example, 30,000 Wells Fargo Rewards points become 60,000 Choice points.

That makes the Choice credit card particularly useful as a way to establish or supplement a Choice balance while Wells Fargo Rewards can later be used to top it off for a specific redemption.

The Card Got More Useful in 2026

Choice revamped its elite program in 2026.

Gold status now requires just 5 qualifying nights or 10,000 Elite Qualifying Credits, while Platinum requires 15 nights, Diamond 35 and the new Titanium level 55.

Even more interesting, eligible points earned through spending on a Choice Privileges Mastercard now count toward elite qualification and milestone rewards.

The 60,000-point welcome bonus itself doesn't count toward those elite thresholds, but everyday card spending does.

There is one restriction worth checking before applying.

Wells Fargo's Choice terms state that you may not be eligible for an introductory bonus if you opened either a Choice Privileges or Choice Privileges Select card within the previous 15 months and received an introductory bonus.

You may also not be eligible for another Choice Mastercard while you currently have either version open.

That's especially important if you've previously held the $95 Choice Privileges Select Mastercard.

Trash Panda Take

This isn't the highest Choice bonus we've ever seen, but the combination is excellent:

60,000 points + only $1,000 in spending + $0 annual fee.

The low spending requirement is probably the strongest part of the offer. You aren't tying up $3,000–$5,000 of spending that could be going toward another signup bonus.

And because there's no annual fee, there isn't much pressure to extract ongoing value from the card every year just to justify keeping it.

Choice points aren't a currency I'd accumulate blindly, but if you can identify a good Choice redemption — particularly one where cash rates are high — 60,000 points for $1,000 of spend is a very attractive proposition.
