The Bank of America Atmos™ Rewards Visa Signature® Business Card has brought back one of its strongest welcome offers: 85,000 Atmos Rewards points plus a $99 Companion Fare after meeting the spending requirement.

For travelers who value Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Atmos Rewards’ extensive collection of international airline partners, this is a particularly interesting business-card offer.

Current Offer: 85,000 Atmos Rewards Points

New cardholders can currently earn:

85,000 Atmos Rewards points plus a $99 Companion Fare, with taxes and fees starting at $23, after spending $5,000 on purchases within the first 90 days.

Apply for the 85,000-point Atmos Rewards Business Card offer

This is better than the regular Bank of America online offer, which currently provides 70,000 points plus the Companion Fare after $4,000 in spending during the first 90 days. In other words, the elevated offer requires another $1,000 of spending but provides another 15,000 Atmos Rewards points.

There is one unusual wrinkle. The elevated application page asks for an FA promo code. Doctor of Credit reports that seven-digit numbers have been working, but that is not an eligibility rule published by Bank of America. Check the actual offer displayed during your application before submitting it.

Atmos Rewards Business Card Benefits

The card is much more than a signup bonus. Current benefits include:

  • 3X points on eligible Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines purchases.
  • 2X points on eligible gas, EV charging, shipping, and local transit purchases, including rideshare.
  • 1X point on other eligible purchases.
  • 10% bonus on points earned from card purchases when your company has an eligible Bank of America small-business account.
  • Annual $99 Companion Fare, plus taxes and fees starting at $23, after spending at least $6,000 during the preceding cardmember year.
  • Free checked bag and preferred boarding when qualifying Alaska or Hawaiian tickets are purchased with the card.
  • 20% back on eligible Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines inflight purchases.
  • $100 discount on an annual Alaska Lounge+ membership purchased with the card.
  • No foreign transaction fees.

The annual fee is structured as $70 for the company plus $25 per card, so a business with a single card effectively pays $95 per year.

Why Atmos Rewards Points Are Interesting

Atmos Rewards combines the former Alaska Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles programs and gives members access not only to Alaska and Hawaiian flights but also to the oneworld alliance and Alaska's other global partners, covering more than 1,000 destinations.

That partner network is one of the biggest reasons Atmos Rewards points can be valuable. Instead of being restricted to Alaska's own route network, points can potentially be redeemed for flights on carriers including American Airlines, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, and other partners when award space is available.

For someone targeting premium international awards, an 85,000-point bonus can provide a substantial head start.

Another Advantage for Credit Card Churners

Bank of America business cards generally aren't reported as new accounts on your personal credit report, according to Doctor of Credit. That can make business cards particularly useful for travelers trying to control the number of new personal accounts appearing on their credit reports.

Of course, Bank of America can still review your personal credit when deciding whether to approve the application.

Trash Panda Take

The 85,000-point offer is substantially more attractive than the regular 70,000-point public offer. Spending another $1,000 to earn an additional 15,000 Atmos Rewards points is a favorable trade for anyone who can meet the requirement naturally.

The ongoing card is also reasonably compelling. The annual Companion Fare, free checked bag, preferred boarding, airline purchase bonuses, and access to Atmos Rewards' partner network give the card potential value beyond the initial bonus.

The biggest catch is the unusual application link and FA promo-code requirement. Because this isn't the normal Bank of America public offer, make sure the application page actually displays the 85,000-point offer before submitting your application.

For eligible small-business owners who can use Atmos Rewards points, this is one of the stronger versions of the Atmos Business Card offer we've seen.
